School of Physics

We are a research-focused School, but with a strong commitment to quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. While our core business is fundamentally research, we have also successfully translated the results of research into the development of new technologies for the benefit of humankind. In the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) rankings we were awarded five out of five in the broad areas of Physical Sciences.
